Claire's Surgery Update!!

For those who wanted an update here it is:
This morning (after waiting a couple of hours because they were running so far behind) Claire went into laproscopic surgery to remove a cyst in her lower abdomen that they found when i was like 32 or 33 weeks pregnant with her via ultrasound.

The surgery went good with no problems... the cyst was about the size of a golf ball which is pretty big considering she's so little. There was no ovary or fallopian tube. So, she only grew one fallopian tube and one ovary on her left side. Good news is that they had no troubles removing the golfball-sized cyst and she didn't lose any blood. Bad news is that she only has one ovary and that ovary also has a small cyst on it. The cyst is so small that they just wanted to leave it alone and keep an eye on it.... meaning she will have to have ultrasounds every 6 months.

Overall, this was a good surgery and she is doing fine. She's a little fussy here and there, puffy from the IV, and pale as all can be, but she's also cooing and smiling. I only wish i could be in the hospital with her to let her know mommy is here... unfortunately last night i caught a bad cold (feels like the beginnings of bronchitis) and can't stay in the room with her in fear that i might get her sick too.

Thank god my mom came up to help us out! She's been a tremendous help!! Without her i think that my whole world would come crashing down around me.

As of today, Claire will be staying the night at Renown for just 1 day. Tomorrow morning Dr. Hulka will evaluate her and either release her or keep her another night... i am praying we get to go home... I'm just exhausted!!

Anywho, hope this helps update everyone i told i would update :D
